Benedetta De Pieri is a research fellow at Tiresia. She is finishing her PhD at the Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health of the Glasgow Caledonian University. Her research focuses on social innovation ideas, policies and implementation in Italy and the UK. Her PhD explores how policies enhancing social innovation are shaped in these two countries and which ideational and contextual factors influence the policy-making processes in each. Prior to starting the PhD, Benedetta worked as a research assistant at the Bocconi University and as a consultant in Milan, developing fundraising strategies for non-profit organisations in the fields of social exclusion, poverty and healthcare.
